Telephone peer groups are available only to TTN national members not affiliated with a TTN chapter (i.e., residing outside of a TTN chapter city/area).
Each group will include five to seven TTN members from different parts of the country. The groups will focus initially on transition-related subjects, but may decide over time to discuss other topics.
Groups will meet once a month for 90 minutes, on a regular day and time.
Group members call into a central phone number and use a Personal Identification Number to join the call.
There's no charge to participate, other than the cost of the phone call.
To sign up for one of these groups, contact Cathy Carrington at
cathy@thetransitionnetwork.org.
A new year’s opportunity to learn and meet some great women
If
the thought of meeting women from around the country appeals to you…and
you want to learn about fundraising…here’s a perfect opportunity! TTN
is launching a peer group with a purpose – helping with our national
fundraising efforts. Many of you are involved with several nonprofits,
so you’ll be able to learn through TTN and leverage your learning with
other organizations you care about.
We’re looking for a group of
no more than 15 participants to meet monthly for 90 minutes of getting
to know each other, getting tips on development and putting them into
practice in:
* Fundraising events, starting with an online auction
* Raising money from individual donors, through a new Mother’s Day appeal and other creative ideas
* Researching corporations, foundations and individual donors
The
group will be led by Board members Pat Daly and Christina del Balso,
with Executive Director Betsy Werley’s active support. Join us! Send an
e-mail to
info@thetransitionnetwork.org to let us know you’re interested, and tell us where you live, what you know about fundraising and what you’re like to learn.
TTN Lawyer Peer GroupAre you a “recovering” lawyer or a lawyer in transition?
Join
other “similarly situated” women who have given some of their best
years to The Law. Consider how that choice of career has influenced our
lives (for better or worse!) and what our shared history and array of
special skills mean to us now as we open ourselves to future
possibilities!
This Peer Group will meet by phone* for 90
minutes each month starting on Wednesday January 13 at noon and will be
facilitated by Barbara D’Amico. Barbara was General Counsel of Chase
Financial Services and is the Founder of Esquire Crossroads which
provides coaching and consulting to lawyers, law firms, and law
departments. If you are interested in participating, send an e-mail to
TTN staff member Cathy Carrington,
cathy@thetransitionnetwork.org with
your phone number and the city where you live.
This is a great
opportunity to introduce other lawyer friends and colleagues to join
TTN and share the benefits of TTN membership!
*Participants will call into a conference number, and pay their personal long-distance rate for the call.
Success Stories Book GroupJoin
us for our new three part “Success Series” teleconferences* to consider
and develop what gives rise to your most successful self!
In
this “not quite a book club,” we will draw on the works of thought
leaders like Parker Palmer, Daniel Pink, Twyla Tharp, Malcolm Gladwell,
and others to help us explore the sources of our natural successes,
identify ways to cultivate success, and plan for sustaining success day
to day.
In anticipation of our calls, participants will be
asked to read all or part of one of the suggested “Readers’ Choices”
and consider questions posed to jump start the conversations and
support personal success.
The Success Series teleconferences
will be 75 minutes long and will be held at 12 Eastern on January 20,
February 24, and March 24. They will be facilitated by Barbara D’Amico,
executive coach and consultant, and founder of Esquire Crossroads. To
assure that all voices are heard, participation is limited to the first
12 TTN members to sign up!
If you are interested in
participating, send an e-mail to TTN staff member Cathy Carrington,
cathy@thetransitionnetwork.org with your phone number and the city
where you live.
