WELCOME!!!!
The Houston group meets the first Monday of each month (except August and December) from 6-8:30 pm. Currently, we meet at Etui, El Matha Wilder's fabulous clothing store at 3433 West Alabama.
New members are always welcome, and membership is not required to attend monthly meetings until you have attended two meetings and have decided that this is an organization for you. So, please come and see what you think!
Our monthly meetings include a casual buffet and open conversation time, followed by group discussions and/or speakers on topics of interest to women in transition.
Annual dues for members are $80 per year. In addition, each member and non-member pays $10 at the door for the light buffet
Prior topics/speakers have included: Conversations on Reinvention; Stages of Adult Development after 50 by speaker Dr. Robert Reichlin, psychologist; Sharing of Favorite Travel Ideas and other Daily Living Tips; What I Wish I Knew at 30 That I Know Now; Neuroplasticity; Across the Generations--A Conversation with Women in their 30's; and Rethinking Volunteerism.
The topics of all of our monthly meetings through 2009 are listed in the Events Section.
The focus of TTN-Houston's conversations through 2009 are organized around the overarching question:
How can we, as women over 50, think about our tomorrows?
We hope to create a space where we learn from each other, surprise ourselves by sometimes seeing our world with a new lens and engage in authentic conversations without feeling judged or judging.
