2009 Donation Drive – members responded generously
TTN members show their dedication every day, working on programs, reaching out to new members, writing newsletters…and a thousand other large and small efforts. At the end of each year, we also ask members to support TTN with cash donations, since dues cover less than half our national expenses. In 2009, they gave generously to support our current programs and help us expand.

2009 has been a year of many changes in the leadership team.

TTN Co-Founder Charlotte Frank to be Honored as one of 2009 NYWA Galaxy Award Winners

TTN has named Charlotte Frank as our NYWA Galaxy Award winner for 2009. Charlotte will be TTN's second Galaxy Award winner. Mona Kreaden, a TTN Board Member, was the first in 2008.

Refer a Friend, Earn a Free Month of Membership
Our Recruit a Member Promotion has been going strong since early September (see below), welcoming more than 40 new members who were referred by current TTN members to date! The program runs through year's end, so spread the word now, taking advantage of our exciting and diverse fall programming and activities.

Washington DC Chapter Welcomes Back Suzanne Braun Levine

The Washington DC chapter welcomed Suzanne back as one of their most popular speakers. Thursday, October 15th marked her return visit to discuss, amongst other things, her dislike of the phrase "Fifty is the new (anything but fifty)," her time with Ms. magazine, her new book, and not wanting to be 30 ever again.

Smart Women in Transition: A Workshop for TTN Members

Thirty interesting, open and articulate women showed up early on a Saturday morning, clearly ready to roll. They came because they were looking to spend time with other women in the same stage of life, with similar issues and concerns. They wanted to learn, and they wanted to connect.

Philadelphia and Columbus peer groups launch with a bang.

Mona Kreaden, TTN's First Annual Woman of the Year
Mona Kreaden was recently honored with the first annual TTN Woman of the Year award, the same week she was honored with the New York Women's Agenda's Galaxy award for Outstanding Volunteer Work. She received a standing ovation during the presentation, which took place at the New York City Chapter's Annual Holiday Breakfast.
